Overview.

Electrifying heavy-duty fleets adds significant operational complexity. Operators must coordinate charging infrastructure, grid constraints, energy prices, and real-time fleet operations. Most existing tools focus on charger monitoring but fail to align charging with actual transport schedules. This leads to higher costs, inefficient energy use, and operational risk when plans change.

K2 Mobility’s platform PANION integrates charging, energy management, and fleet operations into one system. It connects directly with transport management and vehicle data to dynamically plan charging based on real-world operations. This ensures vehicles are ready when needed while minimizing energy costs and peak loads. Additional modules enable depot optimization and monetization of spare charging capacity.

Why we invested.

K2 addresses a critical bottleneck in fleet electrification: operational orchestration. Its deep integration into fleet workflows makes the platform part of the operational backbone rather than a standalone tool. With a mature product originating from ABB and strong early traction with customers such as ASKO, Hansea, and Amazon, K2 is well positioned to scale with fleet electrification and increasing energy demand.
