Overview.
European businesses face high electricity prices, extreme volatility, rising grid fees, and expensive peak loads. The German Mittelstand consumes more than half of the country’s electricity. Energy costs are becoming a direct competitiveness risk. New regulations allow multi-use battery storage to operate grid-fee-exempt when used in a grid-supportive way. That opens a path to use flexibility economically. But accessing it in a simple and reliable way has been difficult.
Einklang makes flexibility practical for commercial and industrial customers. The system combines battery storage, Einklang OS — an AI-powered software layer — and a flexible electricity tariff into one integrated offering. It shifts electricity usage automatically into the cheapest and most renewable hours without disrupting existing operations. That reduces electricity costs, optimizes on-site PV generation, and delivers a more stable energy supply.
Why we invested.
Behind-the-meter flexibility is becoming a central growth market of the energy transition, and regulatory tailwinds are now in place. Combining storage, software, and supply into one system creates a decisive advantage for industrial and commercial customers. The founding team brings deep energy expertise from building and operating industrial storage platforms at Voltfang and Impuls. We believe team, technology, and timing are well aligned.
